J. Brent Gibadlo is Director of Real Estate Development, for MWV Community Development and Land Management. In this role, he is responsible for the development of Nexton, which is a 4,500 acre master planned community located in Summerville, South Carolina. Before joining MWV, Brent was a Vice President with DPS Development Company, a developer of conservation-based communities, including the Ford Plantation, Greenbrier Sporting Club, Turks and Caicos Sporting Club and the Snake River Sporting Club. Upon graduating from the College of Charleston with degrees in Political Science and History, Brent went to work on Capitol Hill. During his time in Washington, DC, Brent worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, covering Joint Taxation and International Relations Committee assignments. He then continued his studies at the University of
Virginia’s Darden School of Business earning a Master in Business Administration.
Brent is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and a board member of Chucktown Squash, a non-profit organization whose mission is to drive academic improvement, positive personal development and a healthy lifestyle to Charleston’s urban youth using the sport of squash.
